Project: Increasing water resources and facilitating access to health services for women, especially marginalized women, in the town of As-Samou’

Project objective: Improving marginalized and rural women's access to water sources and health services, and raising awareness and education about the importance of rationalizing water use and maintaining a healthy and clean environment.

Execution areas: Al-Samou’ town (Hebron governorate)

Target group: 120 women who suffer from water shortage problems, especially the marginalized women in As-Samou’

Project Duration: Ten months (11/2019 - 8/2020)

The most important achievements and success stories of the project:

• Plastic water tanks of 2000 liters were distributed to 141 families, and the number of beneficiaries of the project who received water tanks increased from 120 to 141 beneficiaries.

• Publishing billboards in the streets and awareness leaflets about prevention and protection from the Corona virus

• Carrying out awareness workshops on ways and means to improve health conditions and rationalize water use, in addition to workshops on prevention and protection methods to avoid infection with the Corona virus

• A campaign to plant trees, clean and sterilize the old town of Samu', in partnership with school students, the women's club and the Samu' municipality
