Project: Enhancing the livelihoods and productive capacities of rural women and increasing employment opportunities for young women in different areas of the West Bank

Project objective: Supporting rural women by increasing their productive capabilities and expanding their marketing outlets.

Execution areas: West Bank (Anza Women’s Club, Saida Cooperative Society, Beta Soap Cooperative Society, Deir Sharaf Charitable Society, Farkha Cooperative Society)

Target group: women who support their families

Project Duration: 12/2018-3/2020

The most important achievements of the project:

1. A market and product analysis study was conducted for thirteen production cooperatives, and based on the study’s outputs, five cooperatives were selected to work with them in the project as follows: (Beta, Deir Sharaf, Anza, Saida and Farkha).

2. Cooperatives were supported through two parts:

a. Providing vocational training for women in cooperatives

B. Providing logistical support and developing the productive capacities of cooperatives

3. Work has been done to train 20 male and female students on cooperative work in terms of financial, administrative and marketing aspects.

4. Paid job opportunities were provided to 13 male and female students after completing the six-month training

5. A trademark was registered through the project for all women's products supported by the association under the name "Neaa al-Khairat"

6. Giving some of the trainees the opportunity to create their own production projects.
